We’re going to take a little bit of a look at the ceiling system today in Sacred Ground. It’s a combination of diffusion and our low frequency carbon absorption. Let me see if I can get the camera to do what I want for us here. If we go over here, I think we can get it.
You can see the very end line of modules around the ceiling edge. That’s the ACDA 12 series. That’s the 30 to 50 cycle energy absorber that we’ve created. And we have two – we have a broadband from 30 to 400 but we also have that 30 to 50 range which is really prevalent in almost all small rooms. And most of those pressures tend to focus around the edge of the room. So the cool thing about that is you can place the absorption where you need it. Then we alternate through the room with the ACDA 10 series. Then we have the Prime 11 diffuser. You can start to see it come through now. I’ll just back up a little bit, I have a little bit more angle here if we can get it. How’s that? There we go.
You can see the whole room, the whole ceiling is an array of absorption and diffusion throughout the whole ceiling. And we chose solid absorption over the speaker area here. Usually you extend the diffusion and the absorption, you know, behind the speakers. We’ve taken a little different approach. We’ve used absorption over the speakers and then we’ve started our diffusion sequence. So it kind of starts about this line of the speaker. We don’t have any of our speakers in yet but we will shortly and then I’ll do a little follow-up for you but you can see it extends the whole 28 foot of the room. It’s quite impressive. That’s the P11 diffusion sequence. So it’s what we use. It’s about 9,000 pounds total weight, so it’s not for the weak at heart structurally. You have to be able to support the weight structurally but we have that area between the floor and the ceiling, the low-frequency absorption area that’s always so problematic. We’ll have that addressed with this issue – with this ceiling system here. So it’s quite an – both vertical and horizontal diffusion as you can see throughout the ceiling. So it, individual modules that we build and then support them between a frame structure. So there’s the ceiling for Sacred Ground and more to come.
Thanks,
Dennis Foley
