The following Steinberg Studio Sessions EP11 video is worth a watch. It stresses the qualities of the compression and abilities of the multi band, while also pointing out it does a good job with the simple aspects like volume, pan and phase. The guys in the video do a good job of explaining it all and of course have extensive knowledge of the unit.
