Artists are participating in a new musical undertaking called The 78 Project. Alex Steyermark and Lavinia Jones Wright started this project with the intent on comparing the sound of 78 RPM music to contemporary recording. Current artists are asked to record a public domain song on 78 and one of their songs using modern recording, and then to draw a comparison.
