I came across this article on wbur.org and I want to share it for my daily audiophile blog roundup. Reverb occurs naturally, but many people have found out how to capture it and use it in songs. One of the first songs that had artificial reverb was “Peg ‘O My Heart”. “Bill Putman achieved this by putting the microphone next to the speaker.” There are other ways of creating artificial reverb, one is by using water. Reverb creates a sound like no other.
