Google has unleashed Chromecast, a $35 device that plugs into the television and streams content from an electronic device, like a laptop or phone. There are some drawbacks, like a power cord. Although Americans still spend more time watching television than they do playing video games or watching DVDs, Chromecast might change that behavior, by making it easier to access other entertainment options.
