DIY rough costs Q

Hi, embarking on a reno to move my home studio to a bigger space. Just in preliminary design phase. Getting rough costs together and drawings before applying for permits etc. Will hopefully utilize best room size and shapes to prevent problems in beginning, but want to factor in estimate of acoustic materials for contractor to add to quote- DIY costs for Diffusors/panels and traps. I’m in canada and shipping will kill me on buying retail products- would love to get the plans AND some consulting advice when time comes.First need to get bids etc and plans for reno permit etc. (adding new foundation and digging out existing to add etc is big job).
Only have very rough estimate of floor space and shape now. Thx!

Jason, Do not let shipping to Canada be an issue. We have been shipping to Canada for years get the lowest freight rate possible. Here is a link to some size and volumes to consider. Stay away from the red and look at the yellow and green areas. https://acousticfields.com/wp-…..-Large.jpg

Thx Dennis. Right now just starting to get a design together for thew space (and the costs etc). When I get closer over the next month or so, I’d love to get input on a design, before I finalize walls etc. I saw in another post you mentioned 1500.00US fee for design/consult. Cheers, Jason
