Good morning and thank you for creating this forum.
I am a professional guitarist who is independently studying mixing and mastering and I have come to understand how important room acoustics are, both for recording and for listening. I have a DIY project to acoustically treat the only room I have available, which wouldn’t be too bad if it weren’t for the fact that there is a spiral staircase in the middle that leads down to the first floor. Essentially, there is a huge hole in the middle of the room’s floor.
I would like to know if there is chance to create a decent situation for listening and recording.
I plan to build 4×2 feet bass traps, 4.7 to 6.3 inches deep, 12-16 of them and put them all over the place, side walls, ceiling and front wall principally.
If you have some advice i would much appreciate it.
