The Wild West coast of CANADA here. After many years spent in radio as an announcer, I find myself getting drugged up on yet another hobby (I have 1,000 of ’em). The intricacies and problems of audio intrigue me, be it speakers (baffle-less, exciter, flat monitors, construction of), acoustics (understanding, treatments, limitations), calibration, microphones, pre-amps, tube amps etc. This is a whole new playground for me. I regret I didn’t get interested in this while still in radio, as there was ample chance to learn from experience, experimentation, and from our amazing engineer at the time.
