Hello My name is Leticia Castaneda. I have been studying acoustic absorption for the last two months trying to decipher the myths behind marketing from the science and I am so glad to have found this forum and Dennis’s videos . I have built a DIY multi function room; mixing and tracking. I was indecisive about which to focus on; total absorption management or comprising management in order to maintain a “live” feel for tracking. As of this week I have access to an adjacent large room with an already made live feel so I’m going to exaggerate the hard surfaces a bit in there and focus on total management for my much smaller “mix” room. So excited about this.
I am primarily a live sound FOH and MONITOR engineer. I’ve worked as an independent freelancer for 17 years. I also have a small audio production rental and service company called SoundGirls Productions. We offer professional audio reinforcement while serving our mission to mentor young aspiring female live sound engineers through hands-on experience.
