Hi there,
I’m Marco. I’m a cancer patient and barbershopper. I’ve been singing barbershop music for 27 years and have done a pretty good job of not destroying my ears. I’m very new and very much stumbling around the audio technology area of life. I’m even more new to ideas of acoustics and audio design, if that’s an appropriate term……again…very new. I’ve recently been searching more on the personal/portable audio side and have thankfully stumbled upon my solution there. That being done now I’m back to thinking of audio on a larger scale. I’ve found myself here through that larger search and the idea of designing certain acoustical spaces if possible. I’ve ended up here for more personal reasons. I’ve been working on designing an extension on my house and have had the idea of many different needs/uses for that space. All that being said I’m hoping for input, tutoring, coaching, ideas, anything that would create that best acoustical space. Although I may eventually wish to go in the direction of applying this to a plan for a room thats more of a home theater but for these purposes I’m looking specifically for sound, creating and possibly recording. Like I said, I’m a barbershopper so I’d be looking for a space that can be used for vocal acapella music. I’m pretty sure I’ll be using it to rehearse, listen, and record.
Any and all information and help are greatly appreciated. Excited for the venture and conversations to come. Cheers.
