Hi guys
New to the forum :)
I am just about the start my first build and was looking for some advice. My design is a basic one and I am looking for feedback on the dimensions of my various rooms
Control room:
Length: 8m (26.24 ft)
Width: 6m (19.68 ft)
Ceiling height: 3m (9.84 ft)
Live room:
Length: 8.5m (27.88 ft)
Width: 4m
Ceiling height: Pitched roof from 3 – 3.7m (9.84-12.1 ft)
Drum/amp room:
Length: 4m (13.12 ft)
Width: 3m (9.84 ft)
Ceiling: 3m
I am undecided on the following: Floor material (Either carpet or wood, leaning towards wood)
I have tried to read various sources online regarding ratios and from what I’ve read these will be favourable ones adhering to a few recommended ratios given by various acousticians. The size of the rooms will decrease slightly, as the dimensions given are those of the outer structure, in which I plan to build a room within that room.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Stefan
