Hello i bought the BDA – DIY plans i thought it would have directions about the carbon but it would seem that the activated carbon Absorber is a different thing all together? … or is there a space to put the carbon instead of the foam in the BDA? and what is the absorption curve of the BDA with out the carbon?
Hi Ladraz, Our carbon technology is proprietary. We can sell you the technology. We ship from London and Los Angeles. Send me your ship to address and number of units you are building to info@acousticfields.com
I bought the build plans as well and submitted a room form . What is the pricing of the carbon per unit?
Looks like this is going to be a popular request. I just bought the plans and have the exact same question. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I assume the activated carbon replaces the rear foam contained between the peg board. And what is the fire rating on the proprietary carbon (assuming we shouldn’t just grind up a few bags of charcoal bricks from the hardware store)?
Also, what about using 1/8″ MLV (rubber sheeting) as a diaphragm at the front of the BDA?
hello,
for me I just did the DIY plans
and I’m really happy with the results.
maybe the carbon technology would be much better for corners especially in my case.
yet I can’t afford it’s price :D or I would try it for sure.
especially that I’m in Saudi Arabia so shipping would cost me double the price.
