Good day,
After watching almost all the videos posted on YouTube (thank you for that), I still have a question, and I hope to find the answer here.
My room is 12m x 5.5m, with the speakers placed in the middle of the long wall, and the listening position is 1m away from the back wall. The back wall is a major source of direct reflections, and I want to improve its acoustics as effectively as possible.
I have experimented with various types and amounts of absorbers for some time, but I am not very satisfied with the results. The sound becomes somewhat lifeless and dull. Covering the wall with diffusers seems to be the best option, but I need to have them custom-made, which will be quite costly. Because of this, I want to make sure I make the right choice.
I understand that there are different types of diffusers, but most of them require more than 1M distance from the listening position to function properly. From what I have found, the only type of diffuser that works well at a 1m distance is a skyline diffuser .
What is your opinion on the best choice for my situation?
Best regards
