Excuse me if this topic has already been covered in a video, or somewhere else.

Flush-mount speakers can be found in professional recording studios, and they are usually custom jobs. Much of what you find on the market is budget oriented, however, Genelec does sell their own flush-mount kit (8351-450B) for the 8050, 8350, 8351.

What is the treatment strategy for flush-mount, in-wall speakers that share a boundary with the front wall?

You must use absorption at 4″ – 6″ for open celled foam depth. Mae sure speaker face is flush with foam face.
