Hi Guys,
What do you think about solutions like Sonnar Works, Dirac Live or even the hardware based solution of Trinnov?
Do you think that it might bring additional value to the already in place room treatments? Or maybe that it can correct certain aspects that due to space restrictions you cant correct with proper acoustic treaments?
And what about the PSI AVAA solution? I have heard about great experiences with those boxes.

The correction of room issues using signal processing has benefits but mostly in frequencies below 100 Hz. It has been our experience with these software signal processing programs that they have a sonic impact that in some cases is unacceptable. We have heard sound stage collapse and definition lost especially in the harmonics. Be careful placing another box in an already too crowded signal chain.
Let the music come from source to speaker in the shortest path possible with minimum number of boxes. Treat your room to accept the full source content created by artist and engineer. Stay away from signal manipulation in the electronic domain especially in playback environments. We now have the technology to treat room issues, especially in the low end. Middle and high frequency energy treatments have also come a long way.
