
It depends on the assembly methodology of those materials and the amplitude and the frequency you are fighting against. Density is just one variable that must be considered. Remember that NRC is calculated using a frequency range starting at 125 Hz. – 4,000 Hz. An NRC is not applicable below 125 Hz where most noise problems lie.
