Boom-Bap, a UK hip-hop festival, is gaining ground as an intermediary between mainstream and local “underground” artists. While it started by promoting UK artists, recent expansion and added interest shows there is a lot of room and potential for hip-hop in the UK. Such shows blur the line between underground and mainstream as they give exposure to previously niche scenes.
